The Cavalier County Loan Pool loans up to $400,000. The partners in this loan pool are local banks and utilities including Cavalier County Rural Electric, Choice Financial, Farmers and Merchants State Bank, First State Bank of Munich, and Otter Tail.

The North Dakota Renaissance Program, which is in place in Langdon, can allow up to a 5-year property tax exemption and a 5-year income tax exemption on a business.
Storefront Improvement Program
- Funds will be structured as a 0% loan, payable in $100.00 monthly installments until the loan is satisfied.
- Applicable to businesses located in the Reanissance Zone.
- Up to $5,000.00 available to an individual business based on actual invoices.
- Applications are available at the Cavalier County Job Development Authority - County Courthouse.
- Materials shall be purchased locally. If not possible, CCJDA’s Business Development Committee may give approval for outside purchases.
- The intent of the program is to improve property values and to encourage renovation that compliments the new look of 3rd Street.

Employee Training Grants
Employee Training Grant Information
A grant program for businesses in Cavalier County to obtain outside training for employees for job specific skills
Up to $2,000
Set aside of $10,000 per year, first come first serve
Grant is for the training only, no travel or incidental expenses related to the training may be covered by grant funds
Examples of what can be funded
Occupation specific training
Examples of what cannot be funded
Anything not training related
Individual training/tuition (the applicant must be a Cavalier County Business)
Training not related to job description
Grant Applicants must be able to show:
Training will either provide employees with new skills or upgrade an employees current skill level
There is a direct relationship between the training and the trainee's occupation or craft
The business will not use grant funds for training normally provided by the business

Increase productivity and profitably for Cavalier County businesses
Reduce employee turnover for Cavalier County Businesses
